National Simultaneous Storytime

We are inviting parents and carers of young children to tune in to one of the most celebrated events of Library and Information Week, National Simultaneous Storytime!

Now its 20th year, this vibrant and fun event aims to promote the value of reading and literacy from a young age and provides an opportunity for parents, grandparents, teachers and carers to become actively involved in their children’s learning.

This year the Australian children’s book ‘Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas’, written and illustrated by Lucinda Gifford, has been selected this year to be read across the country and we hope you can join us!

With our library branches closed, National Simultaneous Storytime will look a little different this year.
