Yarrabah Aboriginal Shire Council is hosting the Yarrabah NAIDOC Planning meeting on Monday 15th May 2017.
The meeting will kick off at 2pm and is being held in the Yarrabah IKC Building. The purpose of the meeting is to come together and start working on a draft timetable and to share ideas for NAIDOC 2017 celebrations in Yarrabah.
The theme has already been chosen for this year, ‘Our Languages Matter—aims to emphasise and celebrate the unique and essential role that languages play in cultural identity, lining people to their land and water and in transmission of ATSI history, spiritually and rites, through story & song’.

Let’s make this years NAIDOC celebrations bigger and better then last year! We are looking for volunteers’ for the day to assist with the organization, planning and activities for the day.
