After many months of consultation and development, Wellington Shire Council is pleased to present the new 2030 Community Vision.
In 2008, Wellington Shire residents developed a community vision, Wellington 2030. Eight years passed and many things changed in the region. Council asked the community to help develop a renewed vision for the future.
The new 2030 Community Vision focuses on five key themes: Communities; Services and Infrastructure; Natural Environment; Lifelong Learning and Economy. Mayor Carolyn Crossley says: “This is one of the most important documents we have established. It is the key step towards a continuous process of planning, implementation and improvement for our region.
”Council will use this document to guide decision making over the long term, ensuring robust and relevant decisions are made for Wellington Shire residents and ratepayers into the future.”
