Nominations for the Northern Territory Young Achiever Awards are now open and we want our local young achievers, aged between 14 and 29, to be recognised. Council President Steve Edgington encourages all residents to nominate a local young person into the Northern Territory Young Achiever Awards. "There are many young people in the Barkly region who need to recognised for their work, whether it's in a leadership role, the arts, sports, health, business, the environment or as Indigenous educators. "We, as a community, need to get behind these young Territorians to acknowledge, encourage and most importantly promote their positive achievements." Category winners will each receive $2,000 and a magnificent trophy, courtesy of Prize Patron TIO.
