Sunday 12 January East Gippsland Shire Council has set the wheels in motion for bushfire recovery across the municipality, while continuing to balance its bushfire response and relief efforts.

Saturday 11 January East Gippsland Shire Council has welcomed the announcement by the Federal Government of more than $1 million in immediate support to be provided through the new National Bushfire Recovery Agency.

Saturday 11 January East Gippsland Shire Council has opened a Bushfire Recovery Centre in Service Street, Bairnsdale and is also providing a Mobile Recovery Centre to smaller bushfire affected communities such as the Omeo Region, Buchan district and Far East.
