The Town of Bassendean has resolved to make local laws relating to:
Repeal Local Law;
Bee Keeping Local Law; and
Dust and Building Waste Local Law
The purpose and effect of the laws are:
Town of Bassendean Repeal Local Law
The Purpose and Effect of the law is to repeal Local Laws considered to be obsolete or defunct or by the introduction of alternative legislation.
Bee Keeping Local Law
The purpose of this local law is to regulate beekeeping within the Town of Bassendean.
The effect of this local law is that persons must comply with the requirements of the local law when keeping bees.
Dust and Building Waste Local Law
The purpose of this local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of dust and building waste on building sites and subdivisions on land within the district to protect and enhance the environment and amenity of the district.
The effect of this local law is to establish the requirements relating to dust and building waste on building sites and subdivisions on land within the district.

Copies of the proposed Local Laws may also be inspected at or obtained from the Council’s Customer Service Centre at 35 Old Perth Road, Bassendean between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, or at the Bassendean Library at 46 Old Perth Road, Bassendean during its hours of operation.
Any hard copy submissions relating to the proposed Local Laws should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Bob Jarvis, and may be posted to PO Box 87, Bassendean, WA, 6934 or dropped off at the Customer Service Centre at 35 Old Perth Rd, Bassendean between 8.30am and 5pm.

All feedback, hard copy and electronic, must be submitted by no later than 5pm on Friday 2nd March 2018.
