More than 900 people dropped off their e-waste for recycling at Mosman Council’s free e-waste drop off day on Sunday 11 February.
Mosman residents contributed a range of e-waste including computers, laptops, TVs, DVD/CD players and mobile phones with more than 90% of material being diverted from landfill.
e-waste contains many finite resources such as gold, copper and silver and some materials are toxic to the environment, containing high levels of lead and mercury.
The next e-waste collection will be held Sunday 5 August 2018 in the Council Car Park 33-37 The Crescent, Mosman, from 9.00am to 4.00pm.
