Tourism Master Plan

Council has won a grant to develop a tourism master plan for the Barkly region.

Barkly Regional Council has negotiated a grant agreement with the Department of Tourism and Culture for the development of a Tourism Master Plan for the Barkly region. The project, earmarked to start in April 2018, will identify the key tourism opportunities in the Barkly region and help maximise economic development by leveraging the NTG's Tourism Turbo Charging commitment of $5.5 million.
