Local families with children are invited to explore kindergarten facilities across Baw Baw Shire at upcoming open days in May and June.

Mayor of Baw Baw Shire Councillor Joe Gauci is encouraging families with children approaching three and four-year-old kindergarten to attend and learn more about the different kinder programs on offer, as well as the enrolment process.

“Kinder open days are a fantastic opportunity for parents and carers to find out what they need to make an informed decision about their child’s enrolment”, said the Mayor.

“Families will have the opportunity to meet local kindergarten educators, view facilities and gather the information needed to enrol their child in three or four-year-old kindergarten.

“Children are also welcome to attend the open days and have a sneak-peek into the fun in store for them in 2019 and beyond.”

Kindergarten open days for 2018 are scheduled as follows:

Drouin Drouin Kindergarten (Adam Court): 1.00pm - 3.00pm on Thursday 24 May. Oak Street Kindergarten: 1.00pm - 3.00pm on Thursday 24 May. Drouin Primary Early Learning Centre: 1.00pm - 3.00pm on Thursday 24 May. Chairo Christian School: 1.00pm - 3.00pm on Saturday 23 June. Longwarry Longwarry Preschool: 10.00am - 12.00pm on Thursday 24 May. Neerim South Mary Beck Preschool: 2.15pm - 3.15pm on Wednesday 23 May. Thorpdale Thorpdale and District Kindergarten: 9.30am - 1.30pm on Monday 21 May. Trafalgar Trafalgar Kindergarten: 10.30am - 1.30pm on Thursday 24 May. Warragul Warragul Community Preschool: 10:30am - 1:30pm on Thursday 24 May. Grace Berglund Kindergarten: 10:30am - 1:30pm on Thursday 24 May. St Andrew’s Kindergarten: 10.30am - 1.30pm on Thursday 24 May. St Paul’s Early Learning Centre: 10:00am - 2:00pm on Saturday 5 May. Willow Grove Willow Grove Kindergarten: 9.30am - 11.30am on Thursday 24 May. Yarragon Yarragon Early Learning Centre: 12.00pm - 2.00pm on Thursday 24 May. Bookings are not required for open days (except Erica), simply turn up on the day.
