Flu vaccine shortage

Following unprecedented demand for flu vaccines this year, there is a shortage of supplies across all Australian States and Territories.

This shortage is being experienced in both the private and public systems and across most types of influenza vaccines available from pharmaceutical companies.

Due to the shortage, the Victorian Government is asking all immunisation providers to ensure the most vulnerable are given priority for receiving flu vaccines.

If you are due to receive an immunisation, please phone ahead to Bayside’s immunisation department 95994755 on the day prior to attending your immunisation session, to confirm the influenza vaccine for your appointment is in stock.

Unfortunately, the supply of influenza vaccines is beyond our control but we will continue to keep you updated on the situation.
