Card connects border youth

A joint initiative from AlburyCity and Wodonga Council through the Two Cities One Community partnership, the card connects young people to key local youth service providers and offers  a range of shopping discounts.

Young people have been involved in designing the card and making it more accessible and more appealing.

The artwork was created by Tiarna Whybrow and the card was designed by Tyler Conlon.

AlburyCity Mayor Kevin Mack praised the young people who  worked on the card and thanked the 18 businesses on both sides of the Border for supporting the project.

“Young people who have the Youth Connect Card can get discounts on a range of goods including music, food, clothes, bikes and cycling equipment and entertainment. I urge them to make the most of the card,” he said.

Wodonga Councillor John Watson urged local young people on both sides of the Border to make sure they have a card.

“This year 10,000 cards will be distributed to schools, youth services and local business in the Albury/Wodonga area,” he said.

“If you don’t get one at school, make sure you collect one from council offices or youth service providers.”
