Thurgoona bike path work powers ahead
AlburyCity News 31 May 2018

Council crews are constructing a new section of the track that will link Spring Drive to the Kinross area along Table Top Road, with approximately 350 metres sealed and associated concrete work at Spring Drive completed. A further section of approximately 500 metres is scheduled for asphalt sealing next week.

The works will include the installation of bridges that are being fabricated off-site.

The new track will provide better connectivity for local families by providing a smooth, safe cycling link between new residences in the Spring Park subdivision and the rest of Thurgoona.

When the path is completed, it will be possible for cyclists to follow a sealed shared path from the northern area of Thurgoona all the way to Wodonga.

The project is part of a $1.5M funding package in the NSW budget that will include a new three-kilometre path along Wagga Road between Kaitlers Road and Ettamogah Rise Estate.

Work on that project is on hold, awaiting approval to cross a small section of Crown land.
