Council surveys commuters
Bayside City Council 28 May 2018

Council has contracted Metropolis Research to conduct 300 intercept interviews with train commuters at Cheltenham, Sandringham and Middle Brighton stations.

Interviews are being conducted following a resolution by Council to investigate the level of community demand for alternative transportation options to access train stations in Bayside, including the option of a commuter shuttle bus.

Surveys will commence Wednesday 30 May and continue for two weeks.

Council understands many commuters are frustrated by the current parking situation around local train stations, which is why we are investigating the demand for additional services for commuters.

We are committed to working with local residents and the State government to improve transport links for commuters in Bayside.

We are encouraging residents to find alternative means of transport to and from train stations, including walking or cycling, to reduce car parking congestion.
