Each year, the Midland NAIDOC Awards acknowledge the contributions of Aboriginal people within the City of Swan community.
Nominations are being sought for a number of categories including Elder of the Year, Community Person of the Year, Sports Person of the Year and Young Person of the Year.
A special award will also be awarded in 2018 based on the NAIDOC Week theme “Because of her, we can” to acknowledge an extraordinary woman in the community who is a positive role model and supports her family.
To nominate someone you feel is a deserving recipient, download the Midland NAIDOC Award nomination form and return to [email protected] by close of business Friday, June 22, 2018.
The awards will be presented at the Midland NAIDOC Celebration event, which will take place on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. This event is supported and sponsored by the City of Swan.
