The Eurobodalla will celebrate Australia Day with a special awards ceremony at Moruya on Friday 24 January and with three major celebrations at Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma on Sunday 26 January 2014.

Eurobodalla's newest Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year will be announced at the award ceremony on 24 January at the Moruya RSL Hall from 6pm. The ceremony will also announce the 2014 recipients of the Jeff Britten Award for the Pursuit of Excellence, local Achievement and Sports Achievement Awards and the Community Event of the Year Award.

Health and wellbeing advocate, author and chief executive officer of the Quest for Life Foundation, Petrea King, will be this year's Australia Day Ambassador at the Narooma event. Producer and Australian film industry advocate, Allanah Zitserman, will be the ambassador at Batemans Bay and Moruya.

The Batemans Bay's Australia Day event at Corrigans Beach reserve, Batehaven will kick off with a big breakfast at 8.00am. There will be plenty of music and entertainment including children's games and prizes for 'the best dressed Aussie' along with the annual Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony.

In Moruya, the day will start at 8.30am with breakfast at Russ Martin Park, down by the Moruya River, followed by the Moruya district Australia Day awards. There will be games and competitions for all ages, including an ANZAC biscuit competition.

In Narooma, the festivities will be held for the first time on the main beach next to the Surf Club and begin with breakfast on the beach at 8am followed by a flag-raising at 10am and the presentation of this year's Narooma district Australia Day awards.
