Not-for-profit community groups that are working hard to improve the health and wellbeing of local people are invited to apply for a Eurobodalla Shire Council Healthy Communities and Seniors Week Grant.
Applications for 2013 are now open to groups with plans to run activities that are all about fostering a sense of community. Grants of up to $500 are available.
To apply, just fill in the Healthy Communities and Seniors Week Grants application form on council's website, www.esc.nsw.gov.au with details about your activity and information that demonstrates that you are either an incorporated or legitimate Eurobodalla-based community group.
For a printed copy of the Healthy Communities and Seniors Week Grants application form, call Eurobodalla Shire Council on 4474 1000. Applications close on Thursday 31 October 2013.
In 2012, council supported a wide variety of groups with grants going towards activities such as group lunches and outings, community forums, mystery bus trips for seniors, the purchase of bush tucker plants, a portable public address (PA) system and sporting equipment.
