Eurobodalla Shire Council is holding its next Household Chemical Cleanout on 7 & 8 September 2013 so now's the time to clear your home of any unwanted pesticides, batteries, paints, varnishes and more.
The annual collection provides a great way to safely dispose of harmful chemicals that cannot normally be taken to the Eurobodalla's waste management facilities.
Residents can bring fungicides, batteries, oxidisers, weed killers, household cleaners, fuel, compact fluorescent light globes, oils, syringes, poisons, acids and alkalis, pool chemicals, gas cylinders, medicines, fertilisers and smoke detectors to the collection venues in our major towns.
Asbestos, explosives, clinical waste and radioactive materials cannot be accepted. For more information on what you can and cannot take to the Household Chemical Cleanout, please refer to the Household Waste and Recycling Guide on council's website, www.esc.nsw.gov.au.
