The Revive Art Prize that encourages artists to create works using reclaimed materials is on again!Eurobodalla Shire Council and the South East Resource Recovery Group have teamed up once more to present the 2013 prize and are now calling for entries.

This year $2000 is being offered for the winning entry and there will also be a $500 People's Choice Award.

The prize is open to artists living in the Bega Valley, Bombala, Boorowa, Cooma Monaro, Eurobodalla, Goulburn Mulwaree, Harden, Palerang, Queanbeyan, Snowy River Shire, Upper Lachlan, Yass and Young shires. All entries must be created using materials reclaimed from the waste stream.

This year, council will again present two ReVive workshops to help artists develop their skills and reignite their passion for making trash into treasure. The workshops are planned for 3 & 4 December 2013 and details will be advertised through council's website, online newsletter, Facebook page and a media release soon.

The 2013 ReVive winner will be announced during the opening night of the finalists' exhibition that will be held on Thursday 28 November at 6pm at the Mechanics Institute in Moruya.
