Thirty-three policies to guide council's work in areas as diverse as land investment, interest free advances to community organisations and library services, public art and debt recovery as well as the naming of roads, parks, reserves and pathways will go on public exhibition this Friday 12 July.

The policies are among the 114 that must be reviewed within 12 months of the 2012 local government election to meet statutory requirements under the Local Government Act 1993and Eurobodalla Shire Council Mayor, Lindsay Brown, says some touch on a number of issues close to our community's heart.

"How council manages its community transport services, recreational horse riding on beaches and street activities, and how we approach pricing, waste minimisation and the naming of our public spaces will affect our community," said Cr Brown.

"We are seeking feedback from residents before the policies are adopted. Should they be changed in any way or are you happy with them as they are? Please let us know."

Cr Brown says the community's input matters. "These policies will be used to guide what councillors do between now and 2016 so it is important we know what residents feels about them."

There are a number of ways to give feedback on the policies. You can make a submission via email to [email protected]; use the feedback form on council's website, www.esc.nsw.gov.au, or write a letter addressed to the General Manager at Eurobodalla Shire Council, PO Box 99 Moruya NSW 2537.

The policies will be on exhibition for 28 days from Friday 12 July to Friday 9 August 2013. Council will accept submissions for an additional 14 days beyond the closing date.
