From 1 July 2016 boat trailers will no longer be permitted to park on any public road or land for longer than 28 days within the Woollahra Council Area.
The NSW Government has made recent changes to the Impounding Act 1993 to include the Impounding Amendment (Unattended Boat Trailers) Act 2015 and Woollahra Council has resolved to gazette all public roads and lands within the Woollahra LGA as a “Declared Area”.
The new legislation now means that in Woollahra boat trailers must move at least every 28 days or they may be impounded.
