There’s a superhero inside all of us, waiting to be discovered.

Maroondah youngsters are being invited to put on their cape and unleash their ‘inner superhero’ for We’re All Superheroes!  - The Equality and Friendship Show.

Presented by Council and Carp Productions, this fun and interactive show is coming to Karralyka on Monday 2 July.

Through songs, stories and superhero activities, this gender equality show teaches us that boys and girls are equally strong, unique and capable in their own way.

Children will also get to meet another superhero – but this is a hero unlike any you will ever meet. Could the antidote for the helpless Super Fancy Pants be the superheroine Ragdoll?

Carp Productions have been entertaining children and charming audiences for more than 15 years, performing their distinct and unique brand of performances all over Victoria.

Co-founder and performer Philip Linsdell says the company’s philosophy is based on the belief that performance is inclusive, where all audience members are invited to be part of the experience.

He says the show aims to challenge conventional notions of what it means to be a superhero. It also looks at individual qualities the children have which make them a superhero, or a super friend.

“We don’t all have to be superheroes, we can also be a super friend to someone. It’s about challenging conventional thinking, but also about being a good friend and being helpful,” he said.

We’re All Superheroes! presents themes in a child-friendly, positive way, with simple and clear messages, and of course, plenty of fun.

So put on your cape and discover your very own superpower – and how to be a super friend!
