Cat owners in Mitchell Shire are being encouraged to take advantage of the State Government’s new Responsible Cat Ownership Program. Mitchell Shire Council partnered with Broadford’s Ingrid’s Cat Haven to remind residents of the importance of keeping their cats responsibly. Every year, Council’s Community Compliance Department recovers around 400 cats from within the shire.
