Public Notice - Special Council Meeting Monday 11 April 2016

A special meeting of the Mitchell Shire Council will be held in the Council Chamber, 113 High Street Broadford on Monday 11 April 2016 commencing at 6.45pm.

The business to be transacted at this special meeting will be the appointment of Chief Executive Officer. 

Council is required to give 7 days’ public notice of the holding of the meeting, however, where ‘urgent or extraordinary circumstances’ exist, Council can give such public notice as is practicable.

In accordance with section 89(4A) of the Local Government Act 1989, the extraordinary circumstances for this Special Meeting is that Council must make a permanent appointment to the position of Chief Executive Officer as soon as is reasonably practicable after a vacancy in the position occurs.
