A message from our CEO from the ALGA National Conference - June 19

Published on 19 June 2018

A balmy 5 degrees with windchill of -1 today.

Last evening we enjoyed dinner accompanied with great conversation with Andrew Broad who hosted council representatives from across the Mallee. This morning's keynote address by Bernard Salt on Population Policy was extremely interesting. Following this was a session on Building Tomorrow's Communities: Liveability.

Mayor Mark Eckel and I are very interested in what The Minister for Rural Health, Sport and Regional Communications , the Hon Bridget McKenzie will share with delegates today.

There will be opportunities to hear new and emerging innovations in Digital Technology; Recycling and Waste and Delivering for Communities.

We also hope to hear from the Hon Bill Shorten who will close today's Conference proceedings.

This evening we will attend the NGA Dinner and National Awards presentations at the Institute for Sport. The Prime Minister will address delegates as part of this event, which we are looking forward to.
