Ararat Seniors Festival Launch

The Ararat Seniors Festival will again run in conjunction with the Victorian Seniors Festival now in its 35 year. The month-long celebration is on every senior’s calendar and is held between 8-31 October. Seniors can enjoy more than 1,500 free and low-cost events right across the state including concerts, classes, workshops, games, tours, exhibitions and more.

And, to top it off, all public transport is free for Seniors Card holders between 8-15 October, so there’s no excuse not to get involved! 

A highlight to the local program is the exclusive day tours from the Ararat & Grampians Visitor Information Centre visiting local wineries, homesteads and tourist attractions. Other key activities that should not be missed are the Emirates Melbourne Cup visit, Lovely Lady Lumps performance at the Alexandra Oval Community Centre, Multiple Open Houses at the Ararat Neighbourhood House and the annual Gorrin Village Market is always a favourite.

The 2017 Ararat Seniors Festival calendar of events brochure has been delivered in your letter box, so be sure to try something different, be entertained, learn new technology, celebrate and be active. Meet new people, make new friends, but most of all have fun!

The Ararat Fitness Centre have again got on board and are offering free aquatics for Seniors Card holders during the month of October a great initiative to encourage seniors to get active.
