Eight new bus shelters installed in Ararat

Ararat Rural City residents will notice new bus shelters scattered around town following an upgrade of eight sites.

The installation of eight new undercover shelters was completed by Polite Enterprise Construction.

The upgrade was made possible with $100,000 of funding from Public Transport Victoria and will help improve the comfort of passengers as they wait for their bus.

The new bus shelter installations at existing bus stops in Ararat took place at the following locations:

Laidlaw Street Smith Street Queen Street Lambert Street (Western Hwy) near the Golden Gate Lodge (which included a solar light) Pyrenees Hwy near Pyrenees Caravan Park. (which included a solar light) Marx Crescent Corner of Queen Street and Churchill Avenue
