Ararat Rural City Council Christmas Closure

Ararat Rural City Council wishes to advise the Municipal Office will be closed from 1pm on Friday, December 23, 2016 and will reopen at 8am on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

The following arrangements will also take place during the holiday period:

Maternal & Child Health Centre - City Centre

Closes at 12.30pm on Friday, December 23 2016 and will re-open on Tuesday, January 3 2017 for appointments.

Maternal & Child Health - Rural Centre

Normal services will resume at Willaura on Friday, January 6; Lake Bolac on Wednesday, January 11 and Elmhurst on Friday, January 13, 2017.

For emergencies call Maternal & Child Health Line on 132 229.

Works Depot

Closes 1pm on Friday, December 23, 2016 and will reopen at 7:30am on Tuesday, January 4, 2017. For road related emergencies during this period please call 0407 808 550.

Home Care & Meals on Wheels

After hours Home Care changes & Meals on Wheels may be reported to the Home Care Coordinator on 0419 166 373.

Local Laws/Ranger

For emergency attention regarding local laws, domestic animals or wandering stock, call 5355 0200 and select the appropriate option.

Ararat Performing Arts Centre

Closes 1pm on Friday, December 16 2016 and reopens Wednesday, January 4 2017.

Ararat & Grampians Visitor Information Centre

Closed Christmas Day. Open all other days from 9am – 5pm. Phone 1800 657 158.

Ararat Regional Library & Outreach Library Services

Closes 1pm on Friday, December 23 2016 and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

The Outreach Library Service will also be closed during this period and will recommence on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

Ararat Regional Art Gallery

Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Open Tuesday, December 27, 2016 through to Monday, January 2 2017 from 12pm to 4pm. Normal hours resume on January, 3 2017 – Monday to Friday, 10am to 4.30pm, weekends 12pm to 4pm. Phone 5352 2836.

Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre

Closed Christmas Day, open all other days, 11am – 4pm. Phone 5352 1078.

Transfer Stations

Christmas Day and Boxing Day closed. Open from December 27 to December 31 and again closed on New Year’s Day and January 2, 2017.

Kerbside Waste/Recycling Collection

All collections days are as normal.
