Wollongong City Council will begin essential works on the intersection of Burelli Street and Keira Street, Wollongong.

These works, including new footpath, road surface and kerb and gutter, will improve this popular section of the city centre and make the area safer for all pedestrians. Council will also upgrade the paving around parts of the intersection.

Works will begin on Sunday 17 June and will take about 12 weeks, weather permitting.

While works are continuing there will be traffic management in place and there may be traffic delays.

Nearby, in Kembla Street between Market and Crown streets, works are nearing completion with the paving of the new footpath expected to be completed by the end of the month, provided we get good weather.

If you’d like to know more about the project, you can contact Council’s Customer Service Team on (02) 4227 7111.
