Lobbying push for funding for nine key projects

The City of Ballarat took its lobbying push to Canberra is week where a delegation lead by the Mayor, Cr Samantha McIntosh, the Deputy Mayor, Daniel Moloney, and the CEO, Justine Linley, held a series of meetings with Government and Opposition members to put the case for funding for nine key projects.

The visit was timed to coincide with the National General Assembly of Local Government. The City of Ballarat delegation worked closely with Mayors and CEO's from Central Highlands Councils Victoria (CHCV), sharing a number of meetings with Ministers, their Opposition counterparts and advisers, in a combined regional pitch of projects which will benefit Ballarat and the broader region.

The projects are:

Her Majesty's Theatre Ballarat Link Road New Energy - All Waste Interchange Aviation Emergency Services Innovation Hub Ballarat CBD - regeneration and improvement Lake Wendouree Master Plan Implementation Ballarat Fernery Reconstruction Warrenheip Station Decentralisation - an additional 1000 government sector jobs in Ballarat
