Are you a woman who enjoys technology but feels somewhat limited by what you can do?

The Girl Geek Academy, Women’s Health East and Maroondah Council together are inviting women aged 18+ along to the Tech Savvy Women Workshop.

During this two-hour-long session you will learn the tools that will quip you to better navigate the internet and confidently guide young people to use online spaces safely, as well as provide you with access, advice and resources you need to keep you up to speed with the online world.

In this session you will learn about:

the benefits and concerns of online spaces for young people all things digital, including digital literacy, cyber security and coding practical technological skills about how the internet works; and also take home information, conversation starter fact sheets, and connections to equip you with further knowledge.

Bring your own tablet, iPad or laptop to join in the fun of this event and learn all things digital. All women are welcome, no matter your level of experience.

Event details When: Wednesday 27 June, 6.30pm to 9pm. Light dinner and refreshments will be served at 6.30pm ready for 7pm start. Where: Maroondah Federation Estate, 32 Greenwood Avenue, Ringwood (Wheelchair accessible venue) What to bring: Please be sure to bring your laptop or tablet for activities, with free access to internet.
