New Beginnings exhibition

Published on 22 June 2018

29 June - 20 July 2018  Opens: Friday 29 June at 6 pm Opening Speaker: Lyn Robins, Artist and Teacher

These are seasoned artists who have come together under the one theme of ‘new beginnings’. Reflecting life experiences in these new works of joy, loss, sadness and renewal the group bring their aspirations and dreams to life in the popular and highly skilled medium of painting.

Haley’s work shows the old, the forgotten and uncared for. By painting these subjects she brings them back to life and into our consciousness. Haley paints exclusively in watercolour but enjoys a wild fling with charcoal every so often.

Lynda Fanshaw has the most delicate touch and her works demonstrate this, in her paintings of landscapes in watercolour and acrylic.

Diana Mitchell works in watercolour and acrylic and is the master of florals, native birds and animals and her work shows her background in china painting. While being quite self-effacing, Diana is highly skilled and has been the winner of multiple awards and has sold her work interstate and overseas.

Gerhard Ritter is a multidisciplinary artist, skilled in oils, watercolour and sculpting and entirely self-taught. His loose, effortless style looks so easy because he is the consummate artist. He is also the founder of the SA Watercolour Society Inc. and initial president and former Director of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts.
