The City of Adelaide is proud to partner with the South Australian Tourism Commission to promote MasterChef’s SA Week.
Our beautiful city will be on show this week as Channel Ten’s MasterChef gives viewers a closer look at South Australia’s world-class produce and culinary experiences.
While contestants travel right across South Australia in this week’s episodes, our state’s capital city features strongly.
A taste of what viewers will see includes a Culinary Celebration in Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga followed by a delicious night market challenge.
A masterclass is held at Adelaide Central Market featuring former contestants and South Australian success stories, Poh Ling Yeow and Callum Hann.
Host Gary Mehigan also spent some additional time touring the city’s eateries and bars that showcase our thriving laneway culture with top venues such as Mothervine, Pink Moon Saloon and Shobosho, just to name a few.
Gary also ‘took on the icon’ by participating in the Adelaide Oval Roofclimb and had a closer look at the Bradman Collection and the oval itself.
Lord Mayor Martin Haese said that MasterChef filming in Adelaide presented Council with a great opportunity to showcase the city to a huge audience.
“The City of Adelaide want to show the many thousands of viewers watching this great show that, when it comes to food and wine experiences, we think Adelaide is number one,” said the Lord Mayor.
“It has been terrific to see MasterChef spending time in the city and I can’t wait to tune in.”
MasterChef’s SA Week airs on Channel Ten from Sunday 10 June at 7:30pm.
