Display cases at the Kyneton Museum will be upgraded thanks to funding provided by the Victorian Government, the Friends of the Kyneton Museum and Council.
The application to the Victorian Government’s Local History Grants Program was made by Council and supported by the Friends of the Kyneton Museum, with the aim of securing funding to replace the old and heavy display cases in the temporary exhibition gallery at Kyneton Museum.
Mayor, Cr Jennifer Anderson said it was great to see the collaboration between Council and the Friends of the Kyneton Museum bear fruit.
“The business of preserving our local history is an important one,” she said.
“Kyneton Museum has a number of significant cultural works and artefacts in their collection, and to be able to freshen up how they are showcased in the temporary exhibition space through new, flexible, light-weight display cases is just fantastic.”
The upgrades have been funded by Victorian Government ($14,232), Friends of the Kyneton Museum ($13,637) and Council ($4,720).
