Provide feedback on EPA noise regulations
Bayside City Council 12 Jun 2018

EPA Victoria is reviewing the Environment Protection (Residential Noise) Regulations 2008, regarding air conditioner noise.

Under the new rules, people would be able to use their air conditioners:

for one hour more, even where it can be heard in a neighbouring residence (time extended from 10pm to 11pm) at any time of the day or night when the relevant Chief Health Officer has declared a Heat Health Alert (i.e. on extremely hot days).

People are invited to provide feedback on this proposal. The written submissions period runs from 8 May to 18 June. Feedback can also be provided online to residential.noise [at] epa.vic.gov.au
