There’s more to potatoes than just fries …
Ballarat (City) 13 Jun 2018
City of Ballarat Mayor Samantha McIntosh said the festival contributes to the city’s growing reputation as a popular foodie destination.

“When it comes to food offerings, we’re really starting to grow in terms of having a good reputation among Victorians for quality produce and high-profile events,” she said.

“This Ballarat Winter Festival we have not only one, but an entire series of food and wine-related festivals taking place across our region.

“What this does is showcase to our visitors that we have some very talented local producers, chefs and restaurateurs who are doing a stellar job at taking the Ballarat food experience up a notch – I think it’s fair to say we’ve got something to rival Melbourne.”

The Ballarat Potato Festival will take place at the Ballarat Mining Exchange between 3pm-8pm on Saturday 30 June.

Entry is via a gold coin at the door.
