Fix Recycling Now campaign

Bayside City Council Mayor Laurence Evans has written to Environment Minister Lily D'Ambrosio, following a recycling campaign led by Bayside residents.

The petition, which gained 431 signatures from Bayside residents, called on the Victorian Government to invest Victoria’s Sustainability Fund in finding innovative solutions. New technologies and sustainable local markets to ensure the community’s recycling efforts are not wasted.

We had more than 2,751 visits to our Fix Recycling Now webpage, which encouraged people to get in touch with their local MP about the recycling issue.

We know Bayside residents are passionate about recycling, which is why we are making every effort to prevent Bayside’s kerbside recycling going into landfill.
