White Flat reserve hosts first night match following lighting upgrades
Ballarat (City) 15 Jun 2018

White Flat oval will host its first night game under new lights this evening.

Four new 100 lux lights have recently been installed to help increase training and match capacity at the reserve.

The upgrade project also included improvements to power infrastructure at the reserve.

This project was partly funded through a $50,000 Sport and Recreation Victoria Country Football and Netball Program grant, and $200,000 from the City of Ballarat.

The aim of the upgrade is three-fold; to increase participation in sport at the White Flat reserve, to promote women’s sport in Ballarat, and to continue the renewal of older sportsgrounds into modern compliant facilities for sport and recreation use.

The East Point Dragons will play Sunbury Kangaroos under lights following this evening’s official opening as part of the AFL Goldfields U15 Youth Girls Competition.
