Taking Pride in our Libraries

Wollongong City Libraries would like to thank everyone who attended today’s Drag Storytime in Wollongong Central Library.

We had approximately 300 people join in the reading of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, Love Makes a Family by Sophie Beer and We are Family by Patricia Hegarty and participate in a craft activity.

“There has been an overwhelmingly positive response from our community for this inclusive event and thank you to everyone who joined in the fun today,” said Wollongong City Council’s Acting Community Services Director Jenny Thompson.

The event was in support of the Wollongong Queer Arts Festival and is part of promoting our libraries as a safe and inclusive space for everyone.
