2018 Illawarra Business Awards

Wollongong City Council has once again shown its support for local business by becoming a sponsor of two categories in the 2018 Illawarra Business Awards.

These awards celebrate and recognise excellence in business leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability, business growth and employment practices across the Illawarra.

The Illawarra Business Awards cover businesses throughout the Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama, Shoalhaven and Wingecarribee local government areas.

“Wollongong Council is proud to be associated with these well-established awards,” Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said.

“The Awards shine a spotlight on our City and the diversity and quality of the businesses choosing to operate here. Our reputation as a competitive and innovative city continues to grow and the calibre of the entrants each year proves this. This is a great opportunity to promote your business, build relationships and boost staff morale.”

Wollongong City Council sponsors two awards at this event, including the Excellence in Innovation Award and the Wollongong City Centre Business Excellence Award.

Applications are open now until 30 July. Finalists will be announced on the 5 September with a Gala Event to be held at WIN Entertainment Centre on 19 October.
