Draft Cemetery Master Plan Concept Layout

Moree Plains Shire Council, in conjunction with Gardner Wetherill & Associates and Matthew Higginson Landscaping, have prepared a Master Plan for the existing Moree Cemetery and the southern extension.  Council is seeking valuable feedback from the community regarding the concept layout.   

Engineering Support Manager Fiona McClymont said ‘information gathered from the recent community survey had been taken into consideration in this development of the draft concept layout’.  Council is keen to hear practical responses regarding the layout, from the community.

“I believe that the draft concept layout that has been developed for the Moree Cemetery Master Plan is attuned to the location and will provide a number of options for services and interments into the future.  “It will provide an attractive, peaceful and respectful facility for mourners and visitors” she said.

The draft concept layout will be on display for 28 days and members of the public are welcome to view the concept plan at the following locations:
