Derwent Valley Council is well underway with the development of its Community Strategic Plan.
As a community it is important for us to have a document that voices how we want to develop into the future.
Community consultations are now complete and Council would like to thank everyone who contributed. Feedback has been collated and a number of common themes have been identified that will form objectives within the Plan.
The Community Strategic Plan satisfies the Council’s statutory responsibilities and will span over 12 years. While it is by necessity a high level document, it will include specific actions that reflect the input of the community within its main body. The Plan will also include provision to measure ongoing progress towards achievement of the Plan’s objectives.
Council is in the process of developing a report back to the community to provide further information as the development of the plan continues.
Council anticipates to adopt the finalised 2030 Community Strategic Plan by October 2018.
