WA's plastic bag ban is now in place and the City of Swan is proud to be on board.

The ban on lightweight plastic bags will bring WA in line with other Australian states, and is widely supported by the community and industry. The plastic bag ban affects all retailers - from grocery and fast food stores to fashion boutiques, market stalls and pharmacies - currently using light-weight plastic bags, including biodegradable, compostable, and degradable plastic bags.
