Inner West Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery will be transformed into a House of Horrors in an early taste of Halloween for the next exhibition, MONSTER MASH, opening Wednesday 25 July.
The “lowbrow-inspired” show will surprise and “hopefully delight” gallery visitors, said artist Daisy Knight.
The exhibition will combine “haunted house, ghost train and Christian symbolism”, she said.
“It will be like being at the rides at the Easter show, and a Paris catacomb at the same time,” she added.
Ms Knight’s band, Dweeb City will perform at the opening.
Dweeb City was one of the featured performers at Council’s EDGE launch last week.
“Who doesn't love haunted houses and cheesy black light horror effects?
“MONSTER MASH is about exploring what happens when you clash all of those up together.
“I want everyone to enter through a tunnel of paper mache skulls,” Daisy said.
