The region’s best artisan producers of meat will come together on Saturday 21 July to showcase why Ballarat is now a serious contender in the smallgoods industry.
The inaugural Salumi and Charcuterie Festival, as part of Ballarat Winter Festival, will be held at the Ballarat Mining Exchange on Saturday 21 July.
Residents and visitors will have the chance to taste and purchase quality meat products, such as terrine, ham, salumi, bacon, chorizo, pate and sausages.
Produce will also be paired with local craft beer and ciders for the full artisan experience.
Entry to the Salumi and Charcuterie Festival is open to all, and the cost will be via gold coin payable at the door on the day.
The Ballarat Mining Exchange will open its doors at 11am, with the festival running until 6pm.
The Salumi and Charcuterie Festival forms part of a series of food and wine-related festivals taking place during this year’s Ballarat Winter Festival, contributing to the city’s growing reputation as a popular foodie destination.
