Dinosaurs in the Dark - Torchlight Tour

Brew and Bite

The stage is set for Brew & Bite. The event features gourmet food trucks, mulled wine, craft beer and plenty of activities and entertainment for all ages on Saturday, 14 July from midday to 9.00pm. The Winter Festival’s fixtures such as McDonald’s Bathurst Ice Rink, House of Mirrors, ferris wheel and illuminations will also operate throughout the weekend.

Groove and Grill

Come along and watch the region's talented young artists perform on stage in Kings Parade on Sunday, 15 July from 11.00am to 4.00pm. Bring along a blanket, friends and family and enjoy the Winter Playground which will be in full swing. There will also be a barbecue, some food stalls and sweet treats to top off the day.

Serrated Tussock is the weed target for the Spring 2018 aerial weed-spraying program

The Upper Macquarie County Council will be conducting an aerial weed-spraying program in a number of areas across Bathurst, Blayney, Lithgow and Oberon local government areas in September. The program will target controlling, and reducing the spread, of the priority weed Serrated Tussock.

The spraying program will be undertaken from a helicopter and is suitable for large and small rural landholdings. This year there is the option of a liquid spray or granular treatment. Access Improvement for Small Business Grants

Grants are available to assist local small businesses and non-profit organisations improve access and inclusion to their place of business/organisation.

Businesses and non-profit organisations within the Bathurst region may apply for funding of either 50% of project costs, or up to a maximum of $5,000 on a dollar for dollar basis.

Public Wi-Fi Acceptable Use Policy

Council has developed a policy - Public Wi-Fi Acceptable Use Policy - for the public Wi-Fi system to be installed in the CBD. Council is seeking feedback on this policy.

Mitre-Suttor-Lambert Street Roundabout Design

The design for a roundabout at the Mitre-Suttor- Lambert Street intersection has been completed and Council is seeking feedback on this project.

Water Access for Primary Producers

Council has resolved to provide water from the Hereford Street standpipes at no charge to verified primary producers. Council is seeking feedback on the proposed policy.
