Belly Dancers, Elvis, and opera singers are just some of the acts ready to hit the stage for the annual Doonside Village Festival.
Blacktown City Mayor Stephen Bali MP said the festival, now in its 36th year, was an opportunity to celebrate local talent and community spirit.
“As a proud ‘Doonie’ local all my life, I know just how vibrant and passionate this community is,” he said.
“The Doonside Village Festival is proof of this as we come together to celebrate Doonside’s rich heritage and community spirit.”
Doonside’s resident Elvis impersonator, Glenn Freestone, will delight fans on the main stage with a tribute show to the King of Rock.
He will be joined on stage by talented belly dancer, Nadia Mihova, JJ’s Zumba and Pop singer, Alyssa Perez.
Off the stage, there will be free amusement rides for children, the Arnott’s Biscuit Factory, free activities, and Featherdale Wildlife Park will be offering free vouchers.
Visitors can check out more than 100 food trucks and stalls, selling cupcakes, hot food, crafts and candles.
“The Doonside Village Festival is set to be a great day out for the whole family,” Mayor Bali said.
“I encourage everyone to come together, enjoy the entertainment and celebrate the community spirit that is alive and well in Doonside.”
