Bathurst Winter Festival

The Winter Playground attractions including the Bathurst McDonald’s Ice Rink, ferris wheel, House of Mirrors and illuminations will continue through to Sunday night. Various food vendors and the silent disco will be at the playground over the weekend. Visit the Council Events Facebook page for details.

Serrated Tussock is the weed target for the Spring 2018 aerial weed-spraying program

The Upper Macquarie County Council will be conducting an aerial weed-spraying program in a number of areas across Bathurst, Blayney, Lithgow and Oberon local government areas in September. The program will target controlling, and reducing the spread, of the priority weed Serrated Tussock.

The spraying program will be undertaken from a helicopter and is suitable for large and small rural landholdings. This year there is the option of a liquid spray or granular treatment. Access Improvement for Small Business Grants

Grants are available to assist local small businesses and non-profit organisations improve access and inclusion to their place of business/organisation.

Businesses and non-profit organisations within the Bathurst region may apply for funding of either 50% of project costs, or up to a maximum of $5,000 on a dollar for dollar basis.

CCTV Funding Program

Bathurst Winter Festival Feedback

The Bathurst Winter Festival is in its fourth year and Council is seeking feedback on the different events and activities in planning for the future.

Community Safety Survey

Complete the survey and enter the draw for a chance to win 1 of 5 $100 Bathurst Buy Local Gift Cards.

Community safety is essential to the overall wellbeing of Bathurst Regional LGA residents. Bathurst Regional Council is currently undertaking a wide reaching community consultation to develop the Bathurst Community Safety Plan 2019 - 2023.

Public Wi-Fi Acceptable Use Policy

Council has developed a policy - Public Wi-Fi Acceptable Use Policy - for the public Wi-Fi system to be installed in the CBD. Council is seeking feedback on this policy.

Mitre-Suttor-Lambert Street Roundabout Design

The design for a roundabout at the Mitre-Suttor- Lambert Street intersection has been completed and Council is seeking feedback on this project.

Water Access for Primary Producers

Council has resolved to provide water from the Hereford Street standpipes at no charge to verified primary producers. Council is seeking feedback on the proposed policy.
