EdConnect Australia – School Volunteer Program.  

The academic and social support volunteers provide – through one-on-one mentoring and classroom learning support – both a safety net and a springboard for young people who might otherwise struggle to realise their potential, in school and life.

The Task: Anything from maths, literacy, cooking, Breakfast Club, Library support, yard duty, supervising assessments, gardening, BRUNCH, specialist sessions eg.: STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Maths), admin, sport.

Learning Support where you work with the teacher in the grade, mainly on academic work or Mentor – 1:1, with parental consent, with students who need more social support.

Anyone who is healthy and willing to share their time, skills or knowledge - no age limit Time required - Min 1 hour per week (School “periods” are 40 mins) Schools in the Brimbank municipality No formal requirements - just a good heart, patient, tolerant, consistent, reliable, resourceful and committed Recruitment Process
