Snowy Monaro Regional Council and the Snowy Mountains Mountain Bike Club are pleased to announce that the construction of new trails at Mount Gladstone have been completed and are now open.

Construction of an additional 6 km’s of trail complements the existing mountain bike trail network at Mount Gladstone. Jindabyne Landscaping have worked hard over the last 3 months to create the new flow trail network that will allow riders of beginner to intermediate level to access new areas of the Mount Gladstone Reserve.

The Cooma MTB Master Plan identified Mt Gladstone as a key area for trail development. Grant funding from NSW Office of Sport has covered the costs of the trail construction.

“This is a great asset for Cooma and visitors to the area. Both Council and the MTB Club are hopeful that future funding will enable further development of the trail network,” said Recreation Planner, Alannah Dickeson.

An official opening will be held Saturday 28th of July at 11am. Come and join us at the trail head car park off Greendale road for a ride and BBQ.
