Kindergartens to share in $36,800 in Victorian Government grants

Several kindergartens across the shire will soon receive new computers, advertising screens and minor upgrades to outdoor play spaces thanks to the Victorian Government’s Children’s Facilities Capital Program Minor Grants program.

Information and Technology Grants

Swinburne Ave Children’s Centre in Gisborne, Romsey Kindergarten, Macedon Kindergarten and Riddells Creek Kindergarten will each receive a new desktop computer.

Manna Gum Family & Children’s Centre in Gisborne, Woodend Kindergarten, Lancefield Kindergarten and Lady Brooks Kindergarten in Kyneton will each receive televisions to display information and advertising.

Minor Infrastructure/Refurbishment Grants

Swinburne Avenue Children’s Centre received $4,200 to develop plans to create a sensory rock garden.

Manna Gum Family & Children’s Centre received $9,000 to relocate existing fencing to increase outdoor space and accommodate a water tank.

Lady Brooks Kindergarten in Kyneton received $4,200 to develop plans to create a calming and sensory rock garden and fit out current storage shed with shelves.

Romsey Kindergarten received $7,400 to replace the existing shed with a larger shed and shelving.
